Takayoshi Kouchi
Takayoshi Kouchi, 84, of Hilo died Jan. 27, 2013, at his home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired captain of the Hawaii County Fire Department and member of the Taishoji Soto Mission, Firemens’ Retiree Club, Waiakea Homestead Chuo Kumiai and Wreckers Golf Club.
Private services were held. In lieu of flowers and monetary gifts, donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of Hilo.
He is survived by wife, Tsugino Kouchi of Hilo; daughter, Beverly (Rick) Barlongo of Hilo; son, Don (Kathy) Kouchi of Hilo; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
